The tax man must be hard for Nic Cage!
The actor now owes a reported $6.7 million in back taxes for 2008!
That brings Cage's grand total in debt to - drum roll please - $13,330,372.83!!!!
But Nic has released a statement about his massive mountain of debt, assuring the public he's got his shit in order!
Writes Cage:
Over the course of my career I have paid at least $70 million in taxes. Unfortunately, due to a recent legal situation, another approximate $14 million is owed to the IRS, however, I am under new business management and am happy to say that I am current for 2009. All taxes will be paid including any to be determined state taxes.
