Born Reginald Bush, this California native came into the world in March
1985 in San Diego. He grew up in Spring Valley where his father worked
as a campus security officer and his mother was employed by the county
jail as a deputy sheriff. While attending Helix High School, Bush showed
a big interest in athletics as he succeeded in both football and track.
Nicknamed "The President," Reggie later took his love of football with
him as he went off to college. He has played a variety of positions as a
member of the University of Southern California Trojans football team.
Among them, running back, tail back, wide receiver, punt and kickoff
return. Out of all positions, Bush is perhaps best noted for his status
as a running back. In fact, he is believed to be one of the best, if not
the best, running back in USC's history.

Among his many accomplishments with the University of Southern
California Trojans, Bush was presented with the Walter Camp Award, the
Doak Walker Award, the Heisman Trophy and was named the 2005 AP
Sportsman of the Year. As a political science major, it is clear that
Reggie Bush is talented in both academics and athletics. His athletic
talent was immediately noticed during his freshman season at USC, but
became even more so during the years that would follow.

As much as Bush valued his collegiate years, he opted to decline his
senior season in order to prepare himself for the 2006 NFL draft. On
January 12, the announcement was made that Reggie Bush would declare
himself eligible and is predicted to be the first overall pick. Many
experts believe that the Houston Texans, who currently hold the first
pick, will select Reggie Bush in the 2006 NFL draft. Souvenirs, apparel
and collectibles featuring Bush's likeness and jersey number are popular
among football fans everywhere. The collectibles market is one of the
largest revenue generating sources in any sport. Replica jerseys, one of
the most popular forms of sporting apparel, is especially desirable.

Fans, both NFL and collegiate, can expect to see much more of Reggie
Bush in the future. As his NFL debut most certainly approaches, eyes
will be affixed to the news and the draft picks to see which team will
ultimately select Bush. Whichever franchise offers him a spot on their
national team, one thing is for sure. Reggie Bush is going places and
the adventure begins in 2006.
